We are delighted to have just got in stock the new Orb Pestle and Mortar set from Joseph Joseph. This handy kitchen accessory is the ideal gift for dads who like to cook up their own spice mix and grind their own herbs for the barbecue this Summer.

Like all things from Joseph Joseph, this kitchenware is very solidly made and although the design is simple, it really does look great. In keeping with other items from Joseph Joseph, the design is a clean white ceramic bowl and lid both of which can be used to gring or mix herbs and spices. The handle is coated with a silicon handle so as to make gripping easier while pounding the hell out of your spices.

A great gift for Father's Day if your dad enjoys making his own mixes for the BBQ or when cooking and it'll look great in any kitchen.

It never fails to amaze me how Dads love their barbecues! I noticed it particularly today when I mentioned barbecueing to the father of a friend of mine. His eyes lit up as he discussed best barbecue tools and his favourite sauces. As far as I knew, this was a man whose closest acquaintance with the kitchen was boiling a kettle, yet here he was telling me all about his secret recipe for a barbecue marinade.

I have also noticed amongst many friends that being a father gives them the opportunity to relive their childhood by playing with the toys they never had. Remote control toys are a particular favourite, which require Dad to spend a lot of time ‘showing’ little Johnny how to fly his helicopter or drive his car.
